Students from the BS Agribusiness Economics (BSABE) and BS Applied Mathematics (BSAM) programs taking up ECON 11 (General Economics), embarked on an educational tour to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Region XI, Davao City last March 31, 2025. The tour was part of their curriculum for ECON 11 (General Economics) led by Assistant Professor Vlademir A. Shuck and Associate Professor Ligaya R. Leal of the School of Management.

The tour gave students an up-close look at how the central bank influences the economy through monetary policy, financial stability, and currency issuance. It was a valuable opportunity to see the practical side of economic concepts they’ve been studying.

This hands-on experience not only enhanced the students’ understanding of economics but also highlighted the importance of financial institutions in shaping the country’s future.
